It’s not a bad idea to trust certain people. I personally have great neighbors. They get together for neighborhood barbecues and they’re always ready to lend a helping hand.
We all have good friends who would give us the shirt off their backs if we needed it. Family members look out for one another….under normal circumstances.
When you’re in survival mode, should you trust your neighbors, your friends and your family?
The answer is no. You shouldn’t trust anyone. You need only glance through the newspaper to see the kinds of actions people will take when they’re desperate.
When everything is going along as it should in society, the good neighbor will be just that – a good person. Same thing with your friends and family members. But in a SHTF situation, all bets are off.
Do you know what happens when you get a group of people together and they’re intent on surviving? They’ll do whatever it takes to make sure they survive.
Meaning, they’ll certainly turn on you.
When you get a crowd together, they take on a herd mentality and resort to animalistic behavior. This means they take what they want. If they know you have supplies while they’re doing without, guess who they’re going to come after?
Do you think years of friendship or family bonds are going to matter if they see you have what they need? No, it won’t matter. It will be every man for himself.
If you have it and they know it, they’re going to come after it if they have loved ones they need to get supplies for. It’s a matter of life and death that you put together your supplies quietly.
Be stealthy about what you’re stockpiling because if you share this information – even with trusted neighbors – it won’t stay safe. Word will get around when there’s a lack of supplies and you’ve got them.
If distant family members know you have what they need, you can bet they’ll come to you expecting you to provide for them. While you might have a kind heart and want to help, what if all you have is what you’ve planned for your family?
You’ll be in the position of having to say no just to make sure your own loved ones survive.
